Trips so far in 2013

I took my first trip in 2013 in January,  I flew down to Florida on January 17th, and spent a couple days with my cousin in Delray Beach, before we started our Royal Caribbean cruise, Independence of the Seas, out of Fort Lauderdale.   We cruised for the first three days, with our first port of call being St. Kitts.  Our second port of call was St. Maarten, third was San Juan, Puerto Rico and the fourth was Larabee, Haiti.  Saturday was a day and night of cruising and we made port in Fort Lauderdale early Sunday morning and I flew home on Monday.  Jammed pack week that I really enjoyed.

Second trip was February 26th to March 6th, spent in Laguna Beach, CA.  While there visiting family, saw Dr. Phil show, went whale watching, went to LEGOLAND, spent a day on Catalina Island.  But the best time was spent with my niece her husband and their three beautiful little girls.

Third trip was April 11th - April 16th, flew out to Detroit Michigan, then drove over to spend time with my niece her husband and their two beautiful children, great-niece and great-nephew.  On Friday, while the children were in school, we (my sister Arta and myself) drove down to Chicago, to see her latest grandson, that was born on April 5th.  A beautiful little one, of course being only 7 days old, he was pretty much happy to be held and sleep in your arms.   What a lovely day!   We drove back to Michigan that same day, a long day, but a great day.   Saturday there was archery, suppose to be soccer games, but since most of Michigan looked like a lake, games were cancelled.   We went to a show for the children in the afternoon, and Sunday went to MSU for a science fair that was being held.   Monday, my sister Arta, took off for Iowa for work, and I flew home on Tuesday.

Other planned trips for the year are Las Vegas (a very short visit) do have tickets to see Rod Stewart while there.   Will also be going to Colorado, have tickets to see Oak Ridge Boys while there.   And will be driving up to Long Island to spend a week with my niece there.

Still taking my bike rides around the lake near home, try to do about 3 miles a day (weather permitting).

So what have you been up to?   Keep in touch!
