Updates from Classmates

One of our classmates thought of a use for our PHS 1959 blog, after the reunion, and before the next. Yes, keep in mind that in a few short years we will have graduated from Pennsbury High School - 55 years ago, and we would want to get together once again. So start putting away a little savings each month, so we can have one "big affair" in in 2014. Mark your calendar now, and start saving, and coming up with suggestions.

O.K. This is our first classmate with a contribution to our latest posting - UPDATES FROM CLASSMATES -

Tuesday - January 12, 2010

To all classmates I work in my trucking business everyday and doing very well, even with the economy the way it is. I don't want to retire because I might fizzle away and it keeps me young plus I would get bored because I have worked hard my whole life and like it. What are you guys doing? Let everyone know on the blog so everyone can keep in touch with each and everyong. Jim Franks from the state of Delaware.

  1. I appreciated Jims comments,
I happen to work because i truly enjoy it. I'm involved in the school buisness and it is satisfying and rewarding. Joanne and i are trying for the first time ever working for a month from our little piece of heaven in Scottsdale Az. It has been very realxing and acutally getting us to exercise and eat right. We have caught up on seeing movies and walking alot. Having said all that i do work a couple hours a day from here. Technology is amazing. I so much enjoyed our reunion and getting to visit with all of you. I will be anxious to see everyone in 2014.

    ENJOY YOUR DAY

  2. Well I seemed to have kept myself busy since the reunion, at the end of October I flew out to Chicago for a few days, then flew to Detroit and rented a car to drive to Okemos. Went trick or treating with my great niece and great nephew. Return flight from Detroit to Chicago (to change planes) and then back to Philadelphia. Thanksgiving was wonderful, my sister Arta & her husband had all four of their children in with all their grandchildren. Then in December we had early Christmas on December 19th with one of her children's family, then I dug out my driveway on the 20th. But on December 22nd I headed down to Delray Beach, Fl to spend the Christmas holidays there. Very strange seeing the palm trees decorated for Christmas. The weather was between 75-80, I was in my glory. My Florida relatives were complaining of the cold weather. Spent New Year's eve with some classmates, another wonderful time. Then on January 5th & 6th I served my civil duty of jury duty. Quite interesting what people will sue for. At the present time, I'm on standby to head down to Maryland to help out my youngest sister, she is undergoing knee replacement surgery on January 13th, and when I receive the call from her husband, I'll drive on down to help as needed. Once this is all done, I'm looking forward to taking a trip or two to visit family in different areas of the states. I for one am enjoying being retired, but I do keep myself busy, just doing things.
